" S "

"Lussekatter" - Navnet kommer av S-formen - etter kattehalen.
Ok - Må innrømme at det beste med tradisjonelle safranboller er fargen.
Den gyldne lyse gule fargen lyser opp en mørk vinter morgen.

Ok - must admit what I like most about these buns are the color.
The golden yellow color will brighten any dark winter morning.
Traditionally it is served on St. Lucia December 13th.

"Lussekatter " - Christmas Bread
Makes : 24 parts.
Divide into 24 parts. Shape into smooth balls or figure - S.

2 package active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water, 105 F to 115 F
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup light cream
1/4 to 1/2 ts, powdered saffron
2 eggs, room temperature
4 to 4 1/2 cups all - purpose flour

1 egg and 2 Tbsp. milk - Mixed
